New Jersey’s film and television industry has undergone tremendous growth in the last several years. Thanks to our unique and varied locations, deep talent pool and competitive financial incentives, historic levels of production are now taking place in the Garden State.  The economic benefit to New Jersey and its municipalities has increased exponentially, and thousands of jobs have been created.  Just as importantly, New Jersey continues to enjoy invaluable worldwide exposure due to this activity. And the excitement of hosting major projects such as “Army of the Dead,” “Joker,” “West Side Story,” “The Plot Against America,” “The Trial of the Chicago 7,” “The Equalizer” and “The Many Saints of Newark” cannot be overstated.  Here at the League of Municipalities, staff members from the New Jersey Motion Picture & Television Commission will conduct one-on-one conversations about the many advantages to hosting film and television production. They will offer advice and guidance on how municipalities can successfully promote themselves to the entertainment industry and enrich their communities in the process.  Contact us at njfilm@sos.nj.gov
