NJ - Dept of Children and Families
Created in July 2006, the New Jersey Department of Children and Families is the state’s first Cabinet-level agency devoted exclusively to serving and supporting children and families. The Department’s 6,600 staff are focused on and committed to assisting and empowering all NJ residents to be safe, healthy and connected. The Department seeks to accomplish its vision through an array of evidence-based, outcome-oriented, family-centered programs and services that incorporate best and promising practice, racial equity, healing-centered services and supports, family voice and a protective factors framework, with values that reflect collaboration, equity and integrity.
