The Center for Government Services (at Rutgers, the State University, has been providing timely & relevant training for New Jersey state & local officials for over 65 years. In cooperation with the NJ Legislature, CGS is designated to offer state-mandated training to improve the knowledge, competency, and professionalism of municipal, county, and state government employees. CGS has trained thousands of individuals in fields including municipal finance, housing inspection & code enforcement, education facilities management, planning & zoning, and municipal administration. With our partner, the Center for Executive Leadership in Government (CELG), we train more than 8,000 individuals each year through 22 separate programs that include more than 750 courses, seminars, and conferences. Courses are held throught the state both online & at convenient locations.
