Profile

Michelle Rossi, Energy Saving Improvement Program (ESIP) Coordinator for the State Energy Office of the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities, has served the Board and the citizens of New Jersey since 2008.
In her current position as the ESIP Coordinator, Ms. Rossi facilitates the process of retrofitting public facilities with Energy Conservation Measures (ECM) without new capital investment. Under the authority of the Board, Ms. Rossi reviews, modifies and approves many aspects of the ESIP Program, which allow local government entities and school districts to implement much-needed facility improvements that are paid for using the resulting energy savings.
During her time at the NJBPU, Ms. Rossi has held several key roles through multiple administrations. Before joining the State Energy Office, she was the Outreach Coordinator for the Office of Clean Energy, Communications Manager in the Office of Communications, Constituent Relations Coordinator in the Office of the Secretary, Aide to the Deputy Director of NJ’s Energy Resilience Bank, Confidential Aide to two different Chiefs of Staff, and Aide to Former NJBPU Commissioner Nicholas Asselta.
Prior to joining the NJBPU staff, Ms. Rossi was a New Jersey certified middle school science teacher for 11 years in Vineland, NJ. She received a Bachelor of Science Degree from Long Island University.
