Paul Bailey is a Deputy Chief with the Middletown Twp. Police Department in Middletown, New Jersey. He has over 27 years of service as an officer and has held many positions in the agency, including Patrolman, Detective, Sergeant, and Lieutenant. In his current assignment, Deputy Chief Bailey oversees the Investigations and Special Services Division, which includes Detectives, Training, the Office of Professional Standards, and Community Relations. Additionally, he has served as the Public Information Officer for the Department for the last 6 years.
Deputy Chief Bailey is a graduate of the FBI National Academy, Session 281. He has a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Glassboro State College (now Rowan University) and a Graduate Certificate from University of Virginia. He has served as an instructor with his agency, a regional Task Force, and the Monmouth County (NJ) Police Academy. Deputy Chief Bailey has also had the honor of presenting to the FBI National Academy, the United States Army, and other municipal Police Departments on the topics of leadership, resiliency, and overcoming adversity.
Deputy Chief Bailey is married to his wife of 18 years, Denise. They have two children, Jack (16) and Grace (14).
