Samuel Viavattine

Samuel Viavattine serves as Deputy Commissioner at the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs. In this role he oversees a variety of federal funding streams including over six billion dollars in American Rescue Plan Act State Fiscal Recovery Funds. Samuel joined the Department in 2014 helping oversee the Sandy Recovery Division and its management of over four billion dollars of CDBG-DR funds in the aftermath of Superstorm Sandy. He received his Bachelor of Arts from the University at Albany and Master's in Public Administration from Rutgers Newark.
